Wallwisher Screencast

The screencast analysis I created for Wallwisher was an excellent learning opportunity. The assignment exposed me to the development of new skills, critical thought about the material, and recognition of personal performance. In completing this task, I contributed a significant amount of time, energy, and thought.  Overall, the task was/is simple. However, I ran into an issue with the application loading not loading properly online, and because of this, I literally wasted an hour attempting to load my page.

The screen cast analysis engages us with different tools which hold potentials within the educational setting. WallWisher is an application with much potential for organizing and making classroom information, such as assignments and topics, available to both students and parents. Furthermore, it has the potential for stimulating thought and discussion through exposure to a variety of information and various perspectives which might otherwise have gone unexplored.

I believe the greatest lesson learned is included in the idea of methods and diversity of information provided. By attempting to engage students through multiple methods and allowing for participation, teachers are providing learning environments in which students increase the likelihood of retaining and utilizing information for future use.
